Guests are coming: getting your home ready.

When guests are on the way, the goal is not a full overhaul but making the visible rooms spotless. Here is where to focus the effort.

The rooms guests will see first

The living room and the guest bathroom make the strongest impression. Focus on those two zones first instead of all rooms at once.

Clear the surfaces, dust shelves and furniture, and put cushions and throws back in place.

The guest bathroom becomes a showcase: toilet, basin, clean mirror, and clean towels laid out in advance.

The kitchen, even while still in use

Guests almost always end up in the kitchen. Clearing up, washing dishes and emptying the counter go a long way.

Check the fridge: throw out anything that has turned and make room for what is coming. It is a detail guests notice when they open it.

A damp wipe over the surfaces and a freshly washed kitchen floor close it out.

Smells, linen and final touches

A home looks clean first because it smells clean: air it out well the night before and empty the bin on the day itself.

Every piece of visible linen, from sheets to towels, gets changed or ironed. Ironed linen transforms how a guest room reads.

Common questions

How far in advance should I book?

A few days is usually enough. During busy periods, get in touch earlier to secure the slot you want.

Does the service include ironing the linen?

Ironing is a separate in-home service, but it combines easily with the one-off clean. Pricing is on quote depending on the amount.
