Empty first, clean after
A serious end-of-tenancy clean happens in an emptied flat. If it is not yet empty, remaining furniture is moved aside as much as possible and we clean around it.
We start with windows and radiators, because dust in the air settles back down onto the other surfaces.
Empty cupboards are dusted inside and out: it is a point landlords check often at the inspection.
Kitchen and bathroom, the decisive rooms
In the kitchen, the focus is the cooktop, the back of the oven, fridge seals and the inside of cupboards. These points often weigh on the deposit.
In the bathroom, limescale comes first: taps, shower screen and grout. A descaling product sits for a few minutes before rinsing.
Sanitaryware is disinfected, hair is cleared from the drain, and the underside of the toilet and behind the taps get treated too.
Windows, floors and the inspection
Interior glass, frames and window tracks come next. Tracks get vacuumed where possible: they are very visible to the naked eye.
Floors are done last, with full vacuuming then a wash suited to the flooring. Tile, laminate and other soft floors are not handled the same way.
If the inspection flags something we missed, we return to fix it free within 24 h. Quotes on request, Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
